Since 1994 Petrone Group has supported, by donations and promotion, AMREF onlus. AMREF is the main non-profit health organization operating in East Africa, managing 140 health development projects in 22 different countries.

In particular, the Group supports the "Flying Doctors" project, a specialistic health aid project for the most out-of-the-way regions of East Africa. This project allowed huge areas (6 to 10 million people -mostly children-), before very poorly assisted, to get a regular and qualified health aid service. This target was reached by using, among others, a small light aircraft fleet and a network of over 100 radio stations.
